The Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine recommends a diving fitness examination. The diving associations therefore usually require a valid diving fitness examination. For under 40 year olds this will be done every 3 years and for 40 year olds and older once a year. Since I also have a diving license myself, I am happy to offer the examination in our practice.
Cost of the examination
The diving fitness examination is not covered by the statutory health insurance and is an IGeL service. For under 40 year olds the fee is 100€, from 40 years on a stress ECG is necessary and the fee increases to 130€.
