For whom is a Corona booster vaccination recommended (according to STIKO, RKI)?

– All from 60 years
– Under 60 years: In case of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, heart failure, cancer, respiratory disease (asthma,COPD), diabetes, liver or kidney disease, immune deficiency, obesity. If you have contact with people in a nursing home or care for relatives at home.

Which covid vaccine is used?

We vaccinate exclusively the new vaccine from Biontech (Comirnaty XBB.1.5) adapted for this fall.

What interval should be observed from the last covid vaccination?

The last vaccination should be longer than 12 months ago. However, this interval may be undercut, e.g. if you belong to a risk group.

Is a combination with influenza vaccination and/or pneumococcal vaccination useful?

Covid vaccination in combination with influenza vaccination and pneumococcal vaccination, if applicable, is strongly recommended and results in a stronger protective effect of the vaccinations.

What is the vaccine policy for private patients?

The covid vaccines can be vaccinated without a prescription even for private patients. For influenza or pneumococcal vaccination, the vaccines must be ordered in advance by the patients at a pharmacy via a private prescription.

Can I receive the vaccination even if I am not otherwise a patient in the practice?

Yes the vaccination is also available for outside patients. Please book an appointment via the online appointment booking.
